Weekend Activities - 7 and 8 May 2022
A Krav Maga seminar exposes you to new ideas and techniques and highlights tactical details you can then drill in your regular training.
A lot of people have been thrown off their normal rhythm recently, and our Krav Maga club’s activity was no exception. While we managed to adapt our training sessions and function largely “normally”, the same cannot be said about our interaction with the “outside world”.
Receiving information from outside, so as not to be limited to one’s “personal bubble”, is generally important; when it comes to self-defense training, we consider it vital to test techniques, diversify scenarios, and focus on what works best.

After more than two years, we have a new training session with Atilla Jonas, an Expert in Krav Maga and Filipino Martial Arts, former director of IKMF Hungary and founder of the JM Combat system — the brand under which he now operates in Budapest and at the international events to which he is invited. He is one of KMTM’s “home” instructors — whether we train in Timișoara or in Hungary.
The event programme consists of 3 training sessions over two days — 7 and 8 May 2022 — each lasting 2 to 3 hours, so that participants have enough time to practice and absorb the information presented, with sufficient rest for recovery and consolidation.
The seminar is open, which means anyone can train alongside active members of Krav Maga IKMF Timișoara in a friendly and dynamic environment. Participation in the seminar is not conditional on attending our regular self-defense sessions before or after the event.
A weekend training / seminar aims to expose participants to new ideas and techniques and to highlight technical and tactical details that can then be repeated and reinforced during regular training sessions. The information is presented in an engaging and accessible way, meaning that beginners will also get the most out of the training sessions.
