How We Can Help Other People in Danger Using Krav Maga

On Saturday, 21 September 2024, starting at 16:00, at Tactical City Orțișoara, a self-defense seminar will take place on the theme “How We Can Help Other People in Danger Using Krav Maga”. The training will be led by Tamir Gilad, one of the world’s most renowned and sought-after Krav Maga experts.

A krav maga seminar is an opportunity to learn and apply techniques in a new environment, different from the training hall. It is a step closer to reality through location, atmosphere, and participants. This type of scenario, in which we are required to intervene to protect another person, is a real challenge for the following reasons:

• Civic responsibility: In public danger situations, the ability to safely intervene to help other people can save lives. Participants will learn how to rapidly assess situations and intervene effectively.
• Risks associated with intervention: Helping others involves significant risks. The training will cover danger assessment, de-escalation techniques, and intervention methods that minimise risk for all parties involved.
• Complexity of scenarios: Situations in which other people are in danger can be very varied — from street harassment to armed attacks. Participants will learn how to adapt Krav Maga techniques to a wide range of scenarios.

Equally important are the legal and ethical aspects: intervening in conflicts involving other people raises such questions. The training will cover aspects such as extended self-defense and the legal limits of intervention.

This training is part of a self-defense-packed weekend, within a 2-day seminar held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our krav maga gym, KMTM. The combination of three training sessions over two days will provide you with comprehensive preparation for handling diverse and potentially lethal situations.

Participation is open to everyone, regardless of prior experience and physical fitness level!
